Blossom by Helen Trevisiol Duff

Helen likes painting directly from life and capturing memories to use back in the studio. Blossom is one of her favourites having visited Japan many times. Despite being seen as a huge metropolis Tokyo is brimming with beautiful parks, stunning gardens and riverside promenades, many of which are blooming with cherry blossom trees. One of Helen’s favourite spots in the city, and one where trees tend to bloom first, is Ueno Park, home to 1,000 cherry blossoms. It was here that the initial sketches were made and the final painting in acrylic created back in London.

This heavy body acrylic is professional artist quality. The paints are from Golden, founded in 1980 by Sam Golden, making highly pigmented acrylics, the choice of artists such as Pollock and Rothko for their high quality.
